“Salabwek: Not Far From Here” screening
Screening of “Salabwek: Not Far From Here” about SVQF’s work in Kenya. SVQF presented a film screening of “Salabwek: Not Far From Here” at Guild Hall in East Hampton, NY. The film highlights SVQF’s sustainable community development project in the rural village of Salabwek in Kenya’s Masai Mara, where SVQF has provided schools, health care, safe water and sanitation, and income-generating training and workshops for women.
The sustainable community development project provided life’s essential needs to a village living in extreme poverty at a cost of only $50 per inhabitant. The purpose of this event was to raise funds to replicate this successful project in a neighboring community. The world is growing increasingly smaller, and it is only fitting that Salabwek means “not far from here.”
