Al Hegyi
Al Hegyi is Chairman of 1st Financial Bank USA. The Bank serves its primary communities in the State of South Dakota as well as individuals throughout the United States. It has subsidiary offices in New York, California, Connecticut, the Netherlands, and India. 1st Financial Bank USA was established in 1910.
David S. Martin David S. Martin is a managing partner at BTG Pactual. Prior to joining BTG Pactual, he was a managing director at Barclays Capital in the fixed income division running a proprietary trading group involved in the US mortgage and asset-backed markets. Before joining Barclays in 2008 he worked for UBS AG for 18 years in a variety of roles ultimately running the global interest rate business and serving on the board of directors of the investment bank.David spent time on the board of the Bond Market Association and served as the chairman of the MBS/ABS executive committee for a number of years.David was born and raised in New Jersey and has been married to his wife Jacqui since 1991. Jacqui, David and their two sons now live in Scarsdale, NY after spending 16 years living in Manhattan. They are very involved in supporting the education of children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and helping inform the public about this rapidly spreading disorder.David graduated from Carnegie-Mellon University in 1987 with a BS in Applied Mathematics and Industrial Management.
Henry Morriello
Henry G. Morriello is Co‐Chair of the Structured Finance Group and the Head of the Transportation Asset Finance Group at Kaye Scholer LLP. He has devoted the principal part of his career to representing clients in structured finance and asset/mortgage securitization transactions. Recently, Mr. Morriello has focused on representing clients in “whole company securitization” transactions in various industries on an international basis. He also represents clients in domestic and international structured finance and asset/mortgage securitization transactions involving CLOs and CBOs, equipment leases, intellectual property royalties, automobile loans and leases, healthcare receivables, entertainment receivables, trade receivables, government receivables, commercial mortgages, tax liens and tax‐exempt housing bonds. Mr. Morriello also has significant experience in all types of real estate securitized financings involving residential mortgages, commercial mortgages and home equity loans.Mr. Morriello also has extensive experience in structuring fixed income derivatives of all types. Recently, a significant amount of his work has focused upon the use of credit derivatives and synthetic securities in capital markets transactions.Mr. Morriello is a frequent lecturer at conferences across the country and abroad on topics which include asset/mortgage securitization, transportation finance, real estate finance and alternative investments.
Frank Popp

Treasurer of the Board

Frank is a senior international strategic planning and project management consultant with a strong interest in social and public policy issues. Frank is head of strategic marketing in Aetna. In addition to his work with SVQF, Frank is also leading a project for the Wildlife Conservation Society.Prior to his current engagements, Frank worked for more than 13 years in strategic planning and business development in Europe, Asia, and North America at various organizations, including American Express, the World Bank Institute, UBS Warburg, and A.T. Kearney.Frank graduated from MIT with a BS in Economics and a minor in writing, and also has earned an MBA from Columbia Business School as well as a Master of International Affairs from Columbia’s School of International and Public Affairs.

Sanam Vaziri Quraishi

Founder and Chair of the Board

Sanam has served on the boards of several health and education non-profit organizations, where she focused on strategic planning, development, and capital and endowment campaigns. She was the Executive Producer of Students of the World documentaries featured at the Clinton Global Initiative for five years.Sanam attended UCLA, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in French literature. She received a Juris Doctor from Southwestern University of Law, and is a member of the California State Bar and the Bar of the District of Columbia.Sanam lives in Southern California with her husband and their two children.

Shahid H. Quraishi

Co-FounderShad is Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Pelican Point Capital.

Prior to this, he was a Managing Director in fixed income capital markets at RBS, a Vice Chairman at NewOak Capital, a Managing Director and the Joint Global Head of Mortgage-Backed Securities and Asset-Backed Finance and Lending for UBS Investment Bank, and Co-Head of Asset-Backed Finance at Banc of America Securities.Shad received a Bachelor of Science degree in International Finance and a Masters in Business Administration from George Washington University. He later received a Masters in Business Taxation from the University of Southern California.He lives in New York City with his wife and their two children.

Corinne A. Richardson

Executive Director and Secretary of the Board

Corinne received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Princeton University, with a concentration in the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs and a certificate in Latin American Studies.Corinne later studied at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Bologna, Italy, and received her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center.

Marie Samuels
Marie Samuels was graduated from SRU in 1990 with a BA in Philosophy and Art History, which led her to working in several Soho art galleries in NYC. In 1992 she became a public relations executive at Giorgio Armani Le Collezioni until the summer of 1995. Ms. Samuels married and became a mother in 1996, as well as attending and graduating with a design degree from NYSID. Since then Ms. Samuels has been working in the residential interior design business and recently started a small accessories business, Everyday Tiaras. Her charitable interests include creating a new board at Lincoln Center named “Opus” …young people for the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center. Since 2004 she has been raising capital for the Armory Arts Center of Palm Beach with an event she created 6 years ago. Both Ms. Samuels and her husband have been board members and major fund raisers on behalf of The National Arts Club in NYC since 1999.
